There will be celebrities who don’t care about fans who will join hands to present the show at the annual Metro FM Awards, which will be held at the Nkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, Durban on Saturday April 25.

Metro FM revealed that the program will be hosted by the broadcaster, Lerato Kganyago and the amazing actor Lawrence Maleka. The event will be broadcast live on SABC 1.

Lerato and Lawrence, will be assisted by rapper Nomuzi “Moozlie” Mabena, and television presenter Siyabonga “Scoop” Ngwekazi, who will focus on the Green Room, which means they will be talking to artists who have been selected from different groups and those who have won awards.

It is a country it affects Lerato, he revealed that this opportunity means a lot to him as it will be the second time he presents this competition.

He said this means that they see something good in him for trusting him with such a good opportunity.

“I think my experience in this role is what made me get this opportunity, which I think will not be too difficult as I have worked with Lawrence before.”

He said: “I am looking forward to being a part of this event that coincides with the 40th anniversary of Metro FM. We are looking for it to be at the right level, and we are also pursuing the idea of ​​honoring the artists as two new musics have been added, that of Maskandi and Lekompo.”

On the Black Carpet, sponsored by African Fashion International, DJ Lamiez Holworthy will be talking to artists and guests who will come to the event, and Metro FM broadcaster Zola Mhlongo will be making announcements at the event. It has also been revealed that veteran musician Zakes Bantwini will be the music director at the event.

The manager of Metro FM, Kina Nhlengethwa, said that they are looking forward to this year’s event being a success and fulfilling their vision of promoting the art of artists and honoring them for their work.

Voting for artists in the different categories closes on April 19, and tickets cost R750 and R1 100, per person.
