There is an outcry on social media following the death of DJ Boonu, whose real name is Andile Chili.

This celebrity from Durban started making a name for himself in entertainment by playing for Big NUZ at events. He is well known for his work with Mhandendeni SK and Jaiva Zimnike Alone Candy. He ended up being the manager of a company that recorded events and music videos, iSwidi Films.

The music industry in South Africa has expressed pain and sadness, remembering his contribution to the entertainment industry.

Maskandi’s singer, Mthandeni SK Manqele is another one who showed his pain, posting his photo DJ Boonu. The two collaborated on their hit song. Mthandeni SK wrote a message that shows that his loss leaves him in great pain.

Other artists such as Zakwe, Duncan, Sparks Bantwana and DJ Tira also sent messages of shock and pain remembering DJ Boonu as someone who contributed a lot to South African music.
