- At the end of 2023, Nyovest spoke about finding salvation.
After wrapping up 2023 talking about his newly found salvation, rapper and businessman Cassper Nyovest kicked off the year with a splash as he got baptised.
Nyovest, real name Refiloe Phoolo, shared a glimpse into his baptism with a video on his Instagram stories.
In the brief video, made to Tasha Cobbs’ Fill Me Up, a priest holds him up as he immerses himself in a swimming pool three times, with others doing the same in the background.
Just days before the new year, Nyovest shared a video where he said: “My soul was washed by the blood of Jesus”.
He spoke candidly about finding salvation and Jesus being King.
“I went through a reset, and I realised what life is and my purpose in this life. I am not ashamed to say my soul was washed by the blood of Jesus. I’m not ashamed of the gospel, and I will be unpacking more and more as time goes. I will tell you the beautiful story of my testimony of how I ended up having an encounter with God this year,” Nyovest continued.
The Mama I Made It hitmaker added that Christmas was special for him as it was the first he spent with “Jesus in his heart”.
“Not just on my mind cause I grew up in a Christian home or because my parents told me about him but in my heart. I am so privileged to have had an encounter with the Lord. Holy Spirit, let your presence be felt.”
