Half-centuries by Tazmin Brits and Marizanne Kapp steered the Proteas to a 12-run victory against India in their opening T20I in Bengaluru on Friday.

It’s the Proteas’ first win in their all-format tour to India, after losing the ODI series 3-0 and the Test in Chennai.

The Proteas produced a discipline bowling performance as they restricted the hosts to 177-4 after setting them a competitive 190 to win the encounter.
