Springbok attack coach Tony Brown hopes he can get the best out of Handre Pollard as South Africa’s flyhalf paradigm shifts from the goalkicking foundation to an all-round playmaking centre-piece.

Pollard, who emerged as a teenage gain-line-busting pivot with a short passing game that put through his midfielders, has relied increasingly on his kicking game to maintain game management control.

His goalkicking has been the major difference, putting the Boks through their tense, yet successful Rugby World Cup playoffs.
