Rapper from Bergville, Siyabonga “Big Zulu” Nene, will celebrate his 40th birthday with his community on April 4. Big Zulu said the event will be held in his yard in Bonjaneni village, Mazizini, Bergville.

“I will just be thankful for life that the Creator saved me, blessed me until I got here. I will be dead.”

Four cows have been cooked since he announced the date of this event. They had cooked him with cows, including the house singer, Malungelo Sir and Benny Spice who released three.

Big Zulu revealed that he grew up in a house where they ate a lot of sugar, so much so that he used to walk even in the thick of the snow, in the mountains of Khahlamba. He started supporting them by driving taxis. He then got into hip hop music watching rappers like Pro Kid.

Currently, he is one of the rappers who are not dripping with songs Big Money, Home, Home, Home Sweet Home, Millions, House in Sandton and others. He still owns the company Nkabi Records which manages Lwah Ndlunkulu, Siya Ntuli, Xowla, Fanatic SA and others. As it happens, he will be performing at Mr Somatekisi Live In Concert at the Playhouse Opera Theater in Durban, today from 6pm.

At this event, Big Zulu will be sharing the stage with Khuzani, Lwah Ndlunkulu, Aymos, Xowla, Blaq Diamond, Musiholiq, Starr Healer, Siya Ntuli, Zakwe, Fanatic SA and Ndlondlo Emnyama.
