South African DJ Black Coffee met with US actor Will Smith while in Ibiza.

Black Coffee, real name Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, made a 24 August post on social media about meeting Smith.

“About a week ago, got to meet one of the most hardworking and most inspiring legends [Will Smith]. Big Honour,” the DJ wrote.

Smith also posted a picture with the SA DJ and Spanish singer India Martínez on 19 August. The Fresh Prince actor was reportedly in Ibiza working on new songs, but it has not been confirmed whether he has been making music with the Superman hitmaker.

Black Coffee has worked with artists such as David Guetta, Drake and Usher. The producer also won his first Grammy in 2022, in the category Best Dance/Electronic Album for his album Subconsciously.

The DJ has been touring Europe, performing in Pristina, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and other venues. He has more tour dates lined up in Berlin, Rotterdam, Athens, Istanbul, and more.

Earlier this year, Black Coffee had recovered from a travel accident and was hospitalised in Uruguay.

He was previously in a relationship with SA actor Enhle Mbali Mlotshwa; they are now separated, and their divorce has not yet been finalised. Mlotshwa made allegations of physical abuse and infidelity against Black Coffee, which he denied.
