Stormers CEO Johan le Roux has thrown his weight behind the campaign to stop Stellenbosch University from closing Wilgenhof men’s residence, which has been at the centre of an ongoing storm over its past initiation practices. 

In a message to members of the Wilgenhof Alumni Association, Le Roux, the association’s treasurer, said they would be exploring all options, including taking on legal review any decision by the university council to close the residence.
