Former president Thabo Mbeki arrived to screaming crowds at Jabulani Mall in Soweto on Thursday.
Men, children and women of all ages were excited to see the former president walk about in the mall and briefly interact with businesses and shoppers.
The ANC in Gauteng trotted out Mbeki as part of its campaign to sway voters and secure 55% in the 29 May election.
