Home Humanoid Robot: Chinese robotics company UniX AI has introduced an Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered home robot. Robots are designed to perform everyday household tasks. The robot can wake up the people present in the house. Can cook food for them, clean the rooms. Can even organize a scattered house. This home robot is part of UniX AI’s Panther series, standing about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 176 pounds.

Robot can run for 16 hours on a single charge

The home robot made by a Chinese company can run for about 8 to 16 hours once fully charged. It is built on a wheeled base so that it can move easily inside homes, apartments and service areas and help in performing a variety of tasks.

Testing is being done at homes

This system is currently being tested in real homes and service areas. It seems that the company’s focus is now more towards such domestic service robots, which are based on ‘Embodied AI’ system. These systems combine artificial intelligence with machines that can perform tasks in the real world.

This design is more useful

This wheeled design is more stable than two-legged humanoid robots and helps save energy. Therefore, it is more suitable for indoor environments where long periods of work and reliable mobility are required.

A ‘perception system’ has been provided in this robot. It includes two RGB and RGB-D cameras, 3D LiDAR as needed, and a circular system with six microphones for voice interaction. It is also equipped with cameras, sensors and audio input systems, with the help of which it can recognize things, walk on indoor paths and interact with people.
