AN ACTOR who is also a playwright, Chris Q Radebe, has revealed that although the play is popular with many Shut Up Men Are Talkingwhich was shown on YouTube, was rejected by television channels.

He said this after the last episode of this game was shown last week on social media.

People applauded Chris for this show but there were questions as to why this is not on television?

Speaking toof this country, he said that before he started uploading the game to his YouTube page, he submitted it to the private channel Netflix but they rejected it.

“I didn’t end there, I also went to other channels and they showed no interest in it, but I realized that the way you have a lesson, you have to reach people and see it. I came up with the idea to put it on my page in a forum where I know people can access it and they really liked it from the moment I announced it until the end. I was happy to see that as writers there is another way to show our work since I write the games and show them in this way,” said Chris.

He said that as someone who has years in the field of drama writing, what he understands is that viewers know what they want to watch in their homes.

“That’s why I wrote a play like this that shows the misery women face in their homes, especially at home.

“Television channels take what they want at that time, this show as people see it is just like this on television, it could have changed into something else but I brought it as it is because I know what message I want to convey. I believe that one day the advertisers will reach out to us and we will make money from this, as with this show I led the actors with my money,” he said.

He said he is very grateful to the actors he has worked with, and hopes that they will continue to work together going forward.
