KwaXimba businessman, Mr. Sizwe Bee Khanyile, who is facing a charge of negligent handling of firearms, is not going to bend his horn.
Khanyle said this yesterday when he spoke to his fans who came out in large numbers to support him when he appeared at the Camperdown court.
It will be remembered that Khanyile was accused of Sigonyela’s bracelets last month and was released on bail.
Yesterday in court, Magistrate Ngcobo adjourned the case to March 30 so that the State can continue to investigate this case.
Inside the court it is clear that the investigation has not yet reached the end of this case. Speaking outside to his fans, Khanyile said that he is not afraid at all, rather he feels stronger than before.
He accused the political elite as he clearly revealed that there is a lot of competition to lead Ward 1 in KwaXimba. He said that the sad thing is that they are using unauthorized methods to win the election.
”If there is a dispute, it is only politics and not what is being done so that there are those who are still spreading suspicion about the police for nothing and doing. This thing they are doing will not cause me to withdraw from the councilor contest when it is time to vote,” he said.
Continuing, he said that he is not a vaka and will not back down because what he knows is that the Ximba community wants to see justice by having a councilor who takes care of the community.
He said that the most important thing is to ensure that the needs reach the people of Ximba without being explained to each other.
The fans who were outside the court to support Khanyile were wearing ANC t-shirts.
The ward that is being talked about here right now, Mr. Thembo Ntuli is the councillor. Earlier, when he was asked about being at odds with Khanyile, he said that he is not afraid of anyone competing with him in the elections.
He said that he is not afraid of the current when it comes to competing for votes and said that he has no reason to use tactics to tarnish Khanyile’s name.
Outside the court, Khanyile’s supporters were shouting the name of General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, telling him to intervene because otherwise there will be bloodshed at Ximba.
A few weeks ago, the Ximba community went on strike and blocked the roads to protest their demands.
