An elderly woman was shot dead inside her car in Parkhill, Durban North, on Sunday night.
The child who was in the car with the deceased escaped unharmed but was very scared. A motorcyclist who was shot during the attack was injured.
Marshall Security and its special operations team responded to the scene until the police arrived.
