Herman Mashaba, president of ActionSA, says Dr. Nasiphi Moya, ActionSA’s mayor in Tshwane, has exceeded his wildest expectations since she took over from the DA’s Cilliers Brink in 2024 at Mashaba’s insistence.

“Cilliers Brink has lost his mind,” claims Mashaba in a recent interview with Maroela Media.

“It seems as if he thought mayorship was a God-given right. He is doing everything possible to cause instability in Tshwane.”

Maroela Media polled Mashaba about the claim that Moya is currently trying to protect Eugene Modise, her ANC deputy mayor and mayoral committee member for finance, after he was implicated in alleged tender fraud in Tshwane.

“We are not stupid. We see what Cilliers Brink and the DA are trying to do,” Mashaba said about the DA’s allegations.

Mashaba believes the DA only wants the coalition government in Tshwane to collapse. But ActionSA is not going to fall for the DA’s plans, he says.

Mashaba argued in the interview that he pushed for Brink’s removal as mayor of Tshwane in 2024.
