CELEBRITIES in this country who are stranded in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), due to the suspension of flights, are asking for help as the war that started at the weekend continues.

Israel in collaboration with the United States of America (USA) attacked Iran. One of the reasons that appear is that they are preventing Iran from being able to build nuclear weapons and they see it as dangerous since their relations with these countries are not good.

Iran retaliated by bombing countries with ties to the USA, including the United Arab Emirates, where its military bases are located.

Broadcaster who is also a television presenter, Spitch Nzawumbi, has been posting on social media since he is in Dubai. On Saturday, he wrote on Facebook that he was trapped. He urged the media to contact him because they are under attack.

Yesterday, Spitch presented the programUnfollowed on Showmax, he wrote: “I’m safe.”

Another celebrity, Eva Modika, released a statement saying that she is struggling.

He said he went to work and to celebrate his birthday.

“I was employed in Dubai as a DJ and television personality. Due to the ongoing situation, events have been disrupted and all flights have been stopped. As a result, I have lost approximately R250,000,” wrote Eva.

He said he is appealing to the President of the country and the Ministry of International Relations to intervene immediately and help the people of South Africa in that country.

Mr. Clayson Monyela who is an officer in this Department, wrote in X that the atmosphere is closed,

“It is impossible to get in and out of those countries. We communicate with the people of South Africa using different platforms. Our plans are working,” said Monyela.

Dubai Airport, one of the largest in the world, was closed on Saturday due to the fighting.

The Airports Company South Africa (ACSA) in a statement yesterday, said that Emirates and Qatar Airways flights were disrupted.

It said that seven flights that were scheduled to arrive at OR Tambo International Airport, and one that was scheduled to leave, were cancelled.

Four flights were canceled at the Cape Town Airport and two were canceled at the King Shaka International Airport.
