Cloudy conditions, with fog, are expected in most regions, but the South African Weather Service has warned of a high risk of fire in at least four provinces.
Impact-based warnings
A Yellow Level 2 warning for damaging winds, resulting in disruption to small harbours/ports and difficulty in navigation, has been issued between Plettenberg Bay and Port Alfred during the morning, spreading to Durban in the afternoon.
Fire danger warnings
Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the Northern Cape, Kannaland and Oudtshoorn municipalities, as well as the Central Karoo District Municipality in the Western Cape, the Dr Beyers Naude, Inxuba Yethemba and Enoch Mgijima municipalities in the Eastern Cape, the Greater Taung Municipality in the North West, and the Mohokare Municipality in the Free State.

Partly cloudy conditions and cool temperatures are expected in Gauteng, but it will be warm in the extreme north, becoming fine in the afternoon.

Windy conditions are expected in the eastern parts.
The wind along the coast will be a fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly at first, otherwise a light to moderate southerly to south-easterly wind is expected.
Cool temperatures are forecast in places along the Western Cape’s coast, otherwise it will be fine, windy and warm.
It will become cloudy, with light rain, over the extreme western parts from the evening.
The wind along the coast will be light and variable between Cape Point and Cape Columbine.
A fresh to strong easterly to north-easterly wind is forecast, becoming north to north-westerly along the west coast, but west to south-westerly along the south coast from the afternoon.

The Eastern Cape can expect cloudy conditions, with fog in places, over the interior at first, otherwise it will be fine and cool to warm.
The wind along the coast will be a strong north-easterly, becoming fresh south-westerly in the evening.
The wind along the east coast will be strong to gale force north-easterly.
Cloudy and cool conditions are forecast in KwaZulu-Natal, with isolated showers and rain along the coast, becoming fine from the west from late morning.
The wind along the coast will be a light to moderate easterly to south-easterly, but fresh in the north, becoming moderate to fresh north-easterly in the extreme south in the early morning, spreading to Kosi Bay by afternoon.
It will reach strong to gale force in the south by late afternoon.
